Wednesday, July 6: dear little bugs

Dear little bugs,
I've killed lots of you tonight.  So the rest should go away.  Please and thanks.
Sincerely, Ms Emely
Yeah so lots more little bugs tonight, they're bigger than gnats but not as big as flies.  So they don't scare me, but it's kinda gross when they're all over the floor.  Today was a better day with the kids.
The morning began with English classes, but we "assisted" aka watched the actual English teachers teach English instead of the Japanese ones.  Last week I was with the American teacher, but today (Hannah, take special notice of this!) I observed with a British lady!  It was an interesting experience overall.
I went to lunch today and it was enjoyable instead of overwhelming which is what I thought it might be since I'm still getting over whatever sickness I had slash have.
Cherries are a popular lunch treat.
This girl tied them together and was
very proud of herself!

Look at the pretty face Ms Emely
made to make a kid laugh as another
kid took a picture.

The kids liked taking pictures...but
they're still beginner photographers.

Lots of lunchtime pics!

Making more origami for Ms Emely :)
This afternoon consisted of Japanese culture class taught my Majelyn Sensei.  She taught Madelyn and I how to make origami tops.  They're tricky and take a while but they look really cool and work impressively well for being made of paper!  From 2 to 3 was Gospel Choir which was fun although the last practice before their summer vacation.  They sang Oh Happy Day (the gospel version from Sister Act 2, not the popular worship song).  Anyways, they thought it'd be a good idea if Madelyn and I took turns singing the solo part.  Quite the experience!  But the mothers were very supportive of whatever came out of our mouths :)  From there, we went straight and sweaty into Kids Club!
Madelyn and her girls :)

Teaching "One Little Finger"

Japanese "alphabet" blocks

Play food = toy sushi?
After work, we cooled down in the room and went for a "quick" trip to the grocery store so I could spend my food allowance for this week.  Spend 3,000 yen in one trip?  No problem!  Except it is when you're math skills are lame.  I still have 500 yen to spend (I guess it's better than being 500 over).  I got some English muffins, rice, chicken, apples, and cherries...and lots of junk food.  After grocery shopping, Madelyn and I thought we were going home.  Instead, we were invited to join Minako, Dr and Mrs Shin Nishimura, and Minako's niece Uri chan for dinner at the Food Court again!  This time we all tried the new Japanese pizza place.  I had ham and potato pizza.  Strange but good :)  And we tried the french fries...WOW! way better than American french fries!  Madelyn and I were impressed...so we ate lots of them.
As far as my health goes, I'm feeling...different?  The pains not the same but there's still some kind of pain/irritation.  And the spots are still there.  I dunno.  Sigh.
Yay Tokyo on Saturday!! (no matter what my throat says!)
