Today was pretty good. Madelyn and I worked together in the morning, unlike yesterday. I'm not sure why it worked out that way but there was only one class of kids today! During play time, Madelyn and I made origami with some of the kids. We've tried making the famous cootie-catcher or paku-paku before, but it's never worked until today! YAY!

Uri chan posing with the
pakupaku I made :) |
 |
Madelyn was thrilled!! She
practiced more and can now
make it from memory! |
 |
They like to tuck in their shirts and hike
those shorts WAY up!
It makes me laugh. |
 |
I sat with the popular girls at snack.
This is Naomi chan looking so good
as she eats pretzel m&ms.
Sidenote: those things might be my new fav! |
After snack, despite the fact we are dealing with lots of rain from the typhoon, there were watergames with the kids....aka run around like a crazy person under the Happy Dome and get Emely Sensei and Lin Sensei soaked. It was actually quite fun :) After drying off and changing clothes, we had lunch. Curry rice! YAY GOOD FOOD!

This is Little Miss Giggles.
I sat by her at lunch and she never
stopped laughing! |
 |
| It was adorable... |
 |
...for the first 20 minutes. Then she
turned into a little giggle monster
who climbed me like a jungle gym. |
Then it was nap time with kids who didn't want to sleep and teachers who were fighting to stay awake. Kids Club was easy today, we sang our King of the Jungle song once with everybody and then played with them for the rest of the time.
 |
| "I can reach Lin Sensei's shoulder!" |
 |
Uri-chan is so precious! She smiled
in a later picture, but I thought this
one was just too cute not to post! |
 |
| More girly-girls that love to be photographed |
The craft today was making paper balls out of newspaper...the kids LOVED running around kicking and throwing their paper balls and screaming and running and laughing...it was a little out of control for my taste.
 |
Oh, the chaos.
Can you tell it's overwhelming Madelyn? |
 |
Squatting it out cuz the ground is wet
from all the rain we've been getting
because of the typhoon. |
The activity dealt with throwing the balls into baskets the teachers held as we ran around and the kids chased us. At 6pm after work, Madelyn and I left with Minako to run a few errands and in true Nishimura fashion, Dr Shin and his wife invited us out to dinner. STEAK! So good. I'm so deliciously full :) A happy goodnight from Wednesday in Japan...
