Friday, July 22nd: Today makes one month in Japan

Today was a good day :)  Madelyn and I got the day off of work and went to Tokyo again.  Since it's such a huge city, there was lots more to see.  We have finally conquered the Japanese train system!  Today's train plans were totally up to us and we didn't get lost once!  YAY US!
Pictures are up on facebook.  The only thing I couldn't take pictures of was this evening's concert.  SO INCREDIBLE!  It was the reason we went to Tokyo and at first I was a little skeptical of going to a "drum concert" as I'm not a huge fan of loud noises whether they be rhythmic or not.  But I was SO wrong!  Check out the TAO TAIKO DRUMS it was SO COOL! (click on the words in caps for a youtube link) Besides drums, they played the shamisen, shakuhachi flute, and the koto...aka the topic of my research paper from my World Music class last J-term.  Win for me!  I loved the concert :)  Today was just a really good day!  Praise the Lord for blue skies, a nice breeze, and safe travels throughout the many trains, stations, and cities :)
