Sunday, July 10: Shopping. Shopping. Shopping.

Today there was a 7.1 earthquake in northern Japan. But hold your horses and don't get your panties in a wad (oh English idioms)  We're okay!  I barely felt it.  Madelyn and I were at the mall before church as per our usual Sunday routine and I only noticed it because the dishes on the shelf next to me were rattling.  Nobody else seemed to mind it, though, so no big deal here :)  Church was different because Dr. Shin is sick, so other people spoke but I'm not sure what it was about as usual.
After church we went for some lunch with Minako which was yummy.  And then!  SHOPPING!  At the biggest dollar store in Inzai City!!  I love Japanese dollar stores!
Following an hour in the dollar store, we got some huge post-birthday ice cream :)

Japanese plastic food showing you
the menu.

Strange sign at the restaurant.

Holy ice cream, Batman!
(haha the pokey is poking Madelyn's nose!)

Half way done...yum!

As done as we could get!

That was a LOT of ice creamy goodness!

More plastic food :)

YUMMY!

Oh ya know...just an average stall
in the public bathroom.

Talk about high tech!

That was the end of the exciting part of the day :) Now it's resting up for this big week!  Goodnight, Sunday :)
