Wednesday, August 3rd: I've missed the past 3 earthquakes

So I've missed the past 3 earthquakes, two at night and one during the day.  That's a huge answer to prayers because it means they were really small!
Today was a cleaning day, so no work for Madelyn and me :) We deep cleaned our room and bathroom, leaving the shower and kitchen for tomorrow.  Wasn't too bad and I got one suitcase mostly packed and still under weight.  It's hard to pack everything so far in advance since I still need so much for the next 9 day. Yup, only 9 more wake-ups!

At night, those little gross things cover the outside of our window.  There were hundreds in between the outside screen and inside glass so I'm thankful we have air and can keep the windows shut or all of those would be in our room!  YUCK!
After a few hard-core hours and between some brooms, a vacuum, and a few packs of swiffer wipes, our room is super clean!  (minus all our junk of course)
I also spent time doing Kumon homework and my journals for my Japan course...only 6 more left!  Madelyn and I also helped Majelyn Sensei get Skype on her new laptop.  Thankfully it was in English so it was easier for us to help!  It's interesting that although she's not Japanese, she thinks and speaks mostly Japanese.  And she's not a native English speaker, yet she prefers to read in English because it's easier than Japanese kanji.  I'm seriously impressed.

The rest of the evening was relaxing.  We went for an extra long bike ride (15ish min) to the convenience store for ice cream since our usual place (3ish minutes from the school was closed).  Maybe that cancels out our ice cream?  Either way it was delicious and I have to eat my fill of the yummy waffle ice cream before I leave!
We finished "The Aristocats" movie during dinner and will do 10 more pages of Kumon homework before bed tonight.
